Jack Ruby

I read that the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas - to whom American Airlines, WFAA Channel 8, The Dallas Morning News and the Adolphus Hotel gives money - is representing Jack Ruby as a rube. Someone just caught up in circumstances.
In the article the museum curator actually sounds as if he liked Ruby.
"Jack Ruby: Voices from History" debuts as the nation prepares to mark the anniversary Monday of Kennedy's assassination.
"Every time we talk to people about Jack Ruby, we find that not many people know much about him," said museum curator Gary Mack.
He is representing Ruby as an innocent man -- in the eyes of the law at least.
This is what the article says about the exhibit : “The exhibit shows how the man who has been portrayed as a gangster with mafia ties and a shrewd killer who conspired to kill Oswald was actually a stocky, balding, publicity-seeking name dropper who couldn't be trusted with friends' secrets, let alone an intricate conspiracy.”
To paraphrase : He was a middle aged bum who failed most of his life, portrayed himself falsely to friends and acquaintances and couldn’t be trusted.
That’s a pretty good description of a mobster to me and anyone that doesn‘t get their impressions about mobsters from television or comic books.
At a time when our nation’s economy is being crippled I wonder why these companies have interfered. Why have they showered money on an exhibit that further muddies the water?
What a bunch of ghouls.
