Senator Santorum

Recently Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) pulled his five children out of an Internet-based school paid for by Pennsylvania taxpayers after coming under criticism because the family lives much of the time in Virginia.
A member of the Penn Hills school board said that the district paid about $100,000 for the Santorum children to attend the Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School
There are several distressing items about this.
Santorum is a member of the party that doesn’t read newspapers. Now the party may also be identified as the one that doesn’t allow its children to mix with others.
They might get the wrong ideas.
What sort of children is this man raising?
It is true that by looking at a person’s family life some understanding may be gained.
Here is a man who takes a handout from the government and sends his children to public school even though he is extremely wealthy. Not only that - he has taken this handout while children around the country are being driven from their neighborhood schools and packed like sardines because of budget pressures.
One hundred thousand dollars.
In a city called Belleville, Michigan, they are going to close a neighborhood school which has been operating for nearly 100 years. The money that Senator Santorum used up - for just one year - would have kept 3 teachers employed or 4 custodians, or bought 10,000 textbooks, or paid the insurance premiums for all the workers or much else.
Senator Santorum - certainly not sane decorum.
