Leonard Peltier

The United States has a long history with Native Americans - Indians.
Starting at Plymouth the settlers negotiated unfair treaties and took the land of the Native Americans. If the Indians complained they were killed.
The tone of the relations is illustrated by traders handing out smallpox blankets. The disease swept through their villages and towns and did a lot of killing and the government was none the wiser.
Indians were invited to feasts in order to discuss treaties and would sit down to poisoned meals fed to men, women and children.
The genocide didn’t look good internationally.
Criminals would commit some outrage either for hire or just out of their own personal violence. Others would then accuse the Indians. What would follow would be an action by the cavalry - perhaps moving or even killing the tribe. In any case - the land was taken and the Indians moved off.
It happens today.
Leonard Peltier has served over 27 years in prison.
He has been accused of killing 2 FBI agents.
The only evidence is that he was there that day at the Jumping Bull ranch. There were more than thirty others there.
The FBI attacked with a family with children right in front of them.
Prosecuting Assistant Attorneys Lynn Crooks and Dennis Fisher grown rich and fat by stealing his life.
Why not free Mr. Peltier and let him go home?
Innocent men should not be a means for government attorneys to enrich themselves with..
