Tom Ridge has resigned!
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
He declared the United States a harder target for terrorists to strike even though industrial explosions, railroad accidents, industrial fires, airplane crashes and infrastructure failures have increased in number and intensity.
His expensive blunders that included a bizarre color coding scheme and home security tips like encouraging Americans to cover seal themselves in their home with plastic and duct tape.
Responsibilities included immigration and airport security, as well as rescuing mariners in distress and tracking down counterfeit currency. He controlled a $32-billion budget and 180,000 employees.
Immigration has turned into invasion.
He encouraged illegal aliens to get jobs in the United States by not enforcing our laws.
His airport security improvements include having elderly people take off their shoes, molesting women and separating parents from children for searches
Ridge loved Mexico, taking a more visible role than did Secretary of State Powell with that country and gave the green light to the flood of illegal immigrants into this nation.
The result has been a more stratified nation with less opportunity for Americans.
Thank goodness Ridge is out and his inept and corrupt practices as Homeland Security Director will now be brought to a screeching halt.
He has done a real disservice to this nation and our people. We must remain ever vigilant against self-serving politicians like Tom Ridge who leap frog from job to job, do not produce any results and leave confusion and corruption in their wake.
