Representative Gaines

At first, when you meet him, Representative Mark Gaines gives off the air of the polished politician. He gives the impression of someone who is capable and even cares about the concerns of his neighbors.
For all his political talk – what has he really done to help his neighbors and the people of Alabama?
It seems that in order to get his attention in the first place – you need to have the right skin color and then you need to pass the religion test – you need to be the right color and have the right religion – and then maybe he will turn his attention towards you.
Otherwise – it seems that his support and dedication to the community he is supposed to be serving is in word alone. His actions are empty and sometimes in downright opposition to the good of the community.
What has he done to safeguard the lives of Alabamans from the chemical weapons being burned in Anniston?
Nothing that I can see.
What has he done for family farmers in Alabama?
Nothing that I can see, though he apparently continues to support the expansion of factory farms and corporate food companies which employ illegal aliens and steal American jobs.
What has he done about improving the economy in Alabama? I don‘t mean gains that Mr. Gaines has made for himself.
The answer is - not much – unless you include giving tax breaks to foreign companies that move into Alabama and destroy established American companies.
What has he done to improve health care in Alabama?
Not much.
What has he done about the abortion issue?
Like most politicians who use the name of God on their campaign buttons he hasn’t done anything but talk.
Representative Mark Gaines - good for Alabama?
I don’t think so.
Alabama deserves better than this.
The Alabama State Government web site shows that Mark Gaines apparently received over $106,000 dollars in campaign contributions. When you look at the documents online, for example – Form2: Contributions – only $1,000 is listed, there is only one page filed and the header where his name should appear is not filled in.
A careful review of the documents he was supposed to hand in to the Secretary of State in an honest manner shows that most of them are incomplete, contain misleading or incorrect information and are generally not worth the paper they are printed on.
In fact, the most complete forms he submits are his ‘Expenditures’ forms. A reading of these documents shows a man who is apparently moving money around to causes that are not quite what they seem. It is a measure of a man when he spends time interfering in the affairs of others while neglecting his own duties.
You can expect more of the same from Representative Mark Gaines as he continues to milk the cow.
See for yourself :

Keep in mind that this is just one man and that this behavior is widespread among the men and women in the Alabama Republican Party. If they cannot adequately handle the money they have been given to elect them to office – what are they doing with the money entrusted to them to run the government?
