LaRouche and Bush

Let me be clear on this –anyone that mistakes the ideas and behavior of Lyndon LaRouche as those of a Democrat is also likely to mistake the ideas and behavior of George Bush as those of a Republican.
The Republican Party – or that part which has been taken up with the evangelical zeal of Preacher-President Bush – have long tarred the Democratic Party as being ‘leftists’. The idea of the ‘left’ and the ‘right’ is a French concept and fits more closely with their form of democracy than it does with the American version.
Preacher-President Bush enjoys men such as Lyndon LaRouche, Jr, who self proclaim themselves ‘leftists’. In LaRouche’s case, he was and continues to be a socialist. He has attached himself to the ‘left’ and to the Democrats like a leech. It was fitting that he landed in jail. In the case of Mr. Bush we can always hope.
The thing that needs to be kept in mind by real Republicans is that this is the United States – the land of the free and the home of the brave. George Bush suffered from personal anguish while he was growing up and he wandered from church to church. What he brought out of it may have been his salvation, I can’t say, in any case, he has no right to impose his personal hell on the rest of us. What I can see that he brought out of it was an understanding and a mixture of techniques used by preachers in sermonizing and convincing others of his beliefs. Just as Arnold Schwarzenegger was impressed by and attempts to emulate Adolph Hitler in his public life, George Bush seems to have been impressed by and attempts to emulate Billy Graham, Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Baker. He seems as heated and desperate to convince us of his vision as was Mormon founder Joseph Smith was to repeat the story of the angel Moroni.
When you understand that he is talking to people that want to believe and who are scared and angry – and who believe that obedience is next to godliness – then it is not surprising he got so far so fast.
It is a tribute to the American way of democracy that only the corruption of Supreme Court Justice Scalia allowed George Bush into the Presidency, but it is no reason to keep him there now that we can clearly see what happened. It is no balm to our hearts that the dead have piled high since he took office just because he got in there on a technicality and doesn’t belong there.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the lunatic writings of Mr. LaRouche or the empty words and deceitful ideas that George Bush preaches – following are two painful examples of each.

Leibniz From Riemanns' Standpoint1
by Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr.
July 14, 1996
During most of those decades, the writer has wrestled with relevant, published scholarly andother misrepresentations, in his verbal and oral exchanges with relevant professors and students of philosophy, with ordinary laymen, and with practitioners of mathematical science. With rare exceptions, whenever any among these crucial issues of principle is addressed, nearly all among the professional opinions encountered, are not merely mistaken, but are uttered with shameless unconcern for truthfulness.
If one applies the method of Socratic dialogue, seeking to smoke out the underlying, axiomatic roots of these differences, two causes for the widespread academic, and popular misrepresentation of Kepler, Leibniz, and Riemann, are brought to the surface. First, that the standpoint of most of those commentators, is that of Aristotle, or the empiricists. Second, when the core of the difference is chased back to its relevant epistemological rabbit-hole, any reference to the fact, that the issue is rooted in opposition to the principles underlying the scientific method of Kepler, Leibniz, and Riemann, evokes their modern opponents' implicitly hysterical effort to deny the fact, that their own, contrary, judgments are derived from such differences in axiomatic assumptions.
Typically, the hysteria expressed on the second count, is of the same form as Isaac Newton's absurd literary outburst: ... et hypotheses non fingo!.

George Bush – from Acceptance Speech to Republican Convention 2004
In the heart of this great city, we saw tragedy arrive on a quiet morning. We saw the bravery of rescuers grow with danger. We learned of passengers on a doomed plane who died with a courage that frightened their killers. We have seen a shaken economy rise to its feet. And we have seen Americans in uniform storming mountain strongholds, and charging through sandstorms and liberating millions, with acts of valor that would make the men of Normandy proud.
Since 2001, Americans have been given hills to climb and found the strength to climb them. Now, because we have made the hard journey, we can see the valley below. Now, because we have faced challenges with resolve, we have historic goals within our reach, and greatness in our future. We will build a safer world and a more hopeful America and nothing will hold us back.
In the work we have done, and the work we will do, I am fortunate to have a superb vice president. I have counted on Dick Cheney’s calm and steady judgment in difficult days and I am honored to have him at my side.
