Are you an American?
Mr. Bush and his cronies have not acted in a manner that I feel would bring reconciliation to the nation.
Please note that those states that voted overwhelmingly against him are industrial and financial centers. Even in the states that voted for him the margin was narrow and he cannot claim to have a mandate.
Considering the behavior of the bumbling and corrupt J. Kenneth Blackwell in Ohio and the discovery that in one county alone the computer system was used to award Bush over 3000 votes when he had really received only a couple of hundred (near Columbus, Ohio) it is obvious to me that fraud could have been perpetrated very easily with the electronic voting machines. I ask you to note that the same or similar machines as those discovered to have been corrupted in this way were installed in nearly every county in Florida that had problems in the 2000 election.
Whether there was a planned and calculated effort to commit the fraud or not it is clear that the intent was there if necessary, to do anything and at all costs to put Bush back in the White House.
This intent of wrongdoing, is, in my opinion, enough to doubt the veracity of his supporters. In considering all points - their position on the economy, their rabid desire to hang the abortion issue on Democrats, the bizarre insistence on widening government control over matters historically administered by churches (marriage) and the plundering of social security leads me to ask you and direct you as my Senator and representative to not in any way cooperate with this administration until it proves an ability to serve the people better than it serves itself.
The House has historically been filled with men of low character. If we look at Candice Miller and her recent behavior we can see that now it includes women of low character. It is up to the Senate and those of clear mind and with an understanding of how our national government works to oppose the dictatorship that is being imposed on the American people by Bush.
He was appointed the first time and it appears that he may have regained office for the second term as a matter of fraud.
In any case - do you doubt that had Mr. Kerry taken office that the band of horrid, greedy and unscrupulous men and women behind Bush would have not attempted to strike him down as their associates did to Mr. Kennedy in the 1960’s?
It is your duty to oppose Mr. Bush and his cronies and to loudly proclaim the evil intent of his followers. It is your responsibility to sound out to the American people and the world that Bush is out of step with the American people and that our Intelligence Community has turned from service of the nation into a brutish, shadow government which opposes and is intent on destroying our national institutions.
You will hear groaning from his followers - especially the religious ones that have been misled by his lies. For them I ask you to repeat over and over again - that Mr. Bush has not served their cause. He has not done anything about abortion. With all his power and might he has chosen to take us to war rather than to heal our deepest wounds. Put into their face the fact that he treats the Saudi Arabians better than he treats the American Farmer, the American Worker or any American in general.
Speak out and point out that this country would not have an illegal immigration problem to deal with if Mr. Bush, when Governor of Texas, had voiced concern as over 5 million Mexicans rushed in and were quietly allowed to steal American jobs and most importantly - to provide the means for low and dastardly employers who employed them to get ahead of law abiding citizens.
Call to the mind of the religious fanatics that Bush himself is not opening the government up with his Faith Initiative to the Churches but that he is taking over the churches and pushing them out of business and away from God.
You have an easy row to hoe, in my mind and I urge you to get to work.
Cooperating with him at this time will only encourage him more and lay the foundation for worse abuses in the future.
Speak out. Let us hear your voice. Had the Democrats wildly rung the bell of freedom from the moment that Scalia tarnished our nation’s history we would not be in the position we are in today.
It is a heavy blow to the United States that President Bush is a worse threat to this nation that Osama Bin Laden, North Korea and China all rolled into one.
I will conclude with this:
The missile defense system will not work because a country like North Korea only needs to get a few 747’s, load them with rocket planes - like the one that just flew out of the atmosphere and won the X-Prize - and fire them where they see fit.
Will the Missile Defense System that Bush is wasting money on be designed to shoot down every airplane that rises to the height necessary for such a launch or will it be able to handle two or three hundred mid-sized jets performing this function? The answer is ‘No.’
You have the bully pulpit. The world is waiting to hear from you.
Do your job and point out that the Republicans - the Conservatives - have turned into a bunch of spend, spend, spend lunatics intent on upending every aspect of our life, raiding social security, condemning children to disease because of lack of health care, et cetera.
If you decide to cooperate in order to fulfill some future vision or because you fear for your life in remembering Senator Wellstone, then I ask you resign and step aside because you would then be worse than the pigs that feed at the Bush trough.
If you are going to be the hero and lead us to victory - oppose Canadian trash, put an end to the EPA and their wild scheme to sink a high pressure toxic waste well in Romulus, Michigan. The EPA is marketing this technology to Native Americans. 90% of all liquid chemical waste in the United States is untreated and injected into the earth. You have some simple, powerful issues to beat him and his cronies about the head with and this is the time to get cracking.
