Rice and Beans

With Condoleeza Rice now heading the list for the office of Secretary of State and Alberto Gonzoles being groomed to follow up Ashcroft’s American Hysteria with Mexican Fiesta Flim-Flam it appears that Mr. Bush has what he has wanted for a long time - Rice and Mexican Beans.
Mr. Bush parades these two out in order to show what an even handed fellow he is - good old ‘GWB’ (Gay White Boy) - he sure knows how to handle those minorities and get them thinking’ right.
But Rice and Beans are not minorities because of the color of their skin. You see Rice is the great-granddaughter of house slaves - and some real nasty ones from what I have heard. The kind that would whip the other slaves for another piece of bread or some brightly colored cloth.
In the end her ancestor actually joined the Presbyterian Church of the Confederacy.
As for Mr. Gonzales - he was the Secretary of State in Texas - and considering what happened during this last ‘election’ we can see what kind of work he did there.
Their skin color is not what makes Rice and Beans minorities.
What makes them minorities is their willingness to give up freedom for comfort. Their desire for power outweighs, apparently, their sense of right and wrong. Their willingness to be ‘one of the crowd’ clearly washes away any hope of independent thought.
What we will see from Rice and Beans will be a long line of missteps, ignorant pronouncements, arrogant proclamations and finally a quiet whimpering as the reasoning ability of Americans brown, black, red, yellow and white overcomes their posturing attitudes and sweeps them away in an avalanche of freedom.
