CI Evangelists

Today’s powerful nations sit on the sidelines while the aggressive forces within the United States, whose main attention had been the Soviet Union and Communists for nearly 50 years, make a horrible war on the world.
This war which has been unleashed on the world by men and women trained to combat the threat of the Soviet Union has been turned into a money maker. Mere innuendo is necessary to create a bogie man suitable for this nation to attack and subdue.
Iraq is the first. Sudan is being eyed hungrily. Iran is held in the wings as a potential enemy to attack and plunder.
Meanwhile children are starved and destroyed around the world in nations that have been handed the mantle of friend by the current administration. Their industries vie with one another for space on American store shelves.
The world awaits to be remade after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Like a steam locomotive that is out of control the United States is hastened down a dead end track barreling towards destruction.
The Conservative evangelists that have forced their way into American politics have abandoned any pretence of believing love and justice. Their way in the world is paved with coercion, bribery and weapons.
The so-called leader of Iraq – Allawi appeared before our congress – an honor not even accorded to many Americans – to speak about how the deaths of our soldiers and the potential destruction of our economy and the perversion of our democracy would not be in vain because democracy has taken root in Iraq.
His foolish mouthing of words put into his mouth by the RAND corporation and the present administration puts a fog between Americans and the real state of affairs in the world. He puts the case forward that the blood of these Americans is rightfully being shed to impose the democratic form of government on Iraqis.
I believe that most Americans couldn’t care less what form of government they have as long as they don’t attack us.
President Bush is on a crusade, however, to bring the same wheezing, corrupt, two party, blind system that we have to work with every day to every corner of the world.
It will not be a failure that this does not happen. It will be the reality.
It is not defeatism to recognize this folly. It is the truth.
Christianity and peace do not require the same sort of government that we have in the United States at this time. Peace and Christianity flourished for thousands of years before the United States was even settled. In fact – it can be argued that the settlement of the United States interrupted a long period of peace and association with God for the American Indians in the northern continent.
Christianity and Republican Conservatism are mutually exclusive.
Conservatism is the art of making the poor poorer and the rich richer. It is used by king makers to grab what does not belong to them.
Christianity is a religion of love and Christ-like behavior.
The only time you will find conservatism and christianity together is in the mouth of a televangelist or a corrupt politician.
Every businessman need not believe or practice democracy. Every nation on earth need not believe or practice democracy. To enforce this vision on others is despotic and invasive. It is atrocious and vicious.
To that end – Mr. Bush’s behavior is tempered with violence and is not thoroughly thought through in his childish and devilish opposition to the adequate functioning of the United Nations.
President Roosevelt said, ‘..we (the United Nations) shall seek…the establishment of an international order in which the spirit of Christ shall rule the hearts of men and nations.’
As Mr. Bush has proven to us all by his manipulation of the outspoken Christian evangelists in our midst that nothing is easier for a counterfeit president to do than exploit the good ideas and principles and morals to deceive. Nothing is worse than good ideas applied with evil intent.
During World War II the democracies that fought against the Axis powers fell into a trance which has led them to believe that democracy is evangelical and they need to spread it.
The democracies that fought against the Axis however, weren’t all democracies. Great Britain itself was ruling a global empire. That empire was not ruled in a democratic fashion but by the boot and bullet.
The French, the Belgians and others acquired for themselves territories in far flung places on the globe and instead of exporting an evangelical democracy they exported fear, hunger, war and imported luxuries.
George Bush is out of step with modern life in which these broken empires have come to realize that they are but a small corner of the world. They have been put on the defensive and have adapted to the situation understanding that cooperative efforts must be exerted before force is applied because one nation cannot stand against the world.
The inalienable rights of the person, equality and political rights are not found only in the narrowly defined democratic style of government George Bush espouses – in fact, the modern United States seems to have become a pyramid political body whose main purpose is to maintain and please the so-called Intelligence Networks that we have built in the CIA and the FBI. At this point – these intelligence networks – built at first to protect us – have become the most potent and virulent enemy to democracy we have ever seen. They are a danger not only to democratic principles in the United States they themselves have become a world terror.
It seems the best thing they could do for us would be to eliminate themselves and each other so that we can continue on our own road to freedom.
Instead they are used to export a violent form of democracy that falls down upon the heads of unsuspecting people around the world in the form of smart bombs and rockets.
The governing body should only be the office of regulation and service – not the despotic military machine that George Bush has formed and put into action along with Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and their friends in industry who profit from the association.
