Como Se Dice?

To hold forth that every word in the King James bible is direct speech from God and should be taken as literal and infallible truth is more of a mistake today than it was 100, 200 or 300 years ago.
It is quite widely known that in the first preface to the King James bible that the translators of that master work admitted to translating one word of the original into several different English words. They said they did this because ‘it would be unfair to choose some words for the high honor of being the channel of God’s truth and to pass over others as unworthy’. – (R. D.
